Where are the events?
- Workshop events, unless otherwise noted, will be held in the Liu Institute.
- The Steven Galloway UBC Dorothy Black lecture is in Hennings 200.
- The Thomas King lecture is at the Museum of Anthropology.
- The Art Auction is at Sage Bistro at University Centre.
- The lunch on the second day of the workshop is at St. John's College.
- The film screening is at the Chan Centre's Royal Bank Cinema.
How do I get to the University of British Columbia?
From the Vancouver Airport (YVR):
- Taxi: readily available outside the airport at a cost of approximately $35.
- The Airporter (shuttle bus): leaves the airport every 30 minutes. Fares are $14 one way, or $22 if you purchase a roundtrip ticket. The Airporter will take you to Granville and Broadway, where you will have to get off and take the #99 UBC B-Line Westbound to the UBC campus. Public transit fares are $2.50. - Public transit: to get to UBC by public transit, you will have to take the Skytrain and a bus, at a cost of only $3.75 on Weekdays before 6:30 pm or $2.50 Weekdays after 6:30 p.m. and all day Saturday and Sunday. The directions are below:

Where do I register?
Registration is Thursday, October 1st at the Liu Institute. When you enter the building, you should see a table set up with staff from Canadian Literature.
Information for presenters
- Graduate student presentations should be a maximum of 15 minutes.
- Interventions (i.e. all non-graduate students, except the keynotes) should be a maximum of 5 minutes.
- Workshop presenters will get a complimentary ticket to the Thomas King talk.
